Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Good Eats mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Good Eats ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Good Eats. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Please use a strong password and don't share your credentials with others. Notify us immediately at hello@good-eats.xyz if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and upload to Good Eats — your recipes, cook logs, photos, and notes. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service (for example, showing your cooks to your friends).
You are responsible for the content you post. You agree not to upload content that:
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or harassing.
- Contains malware or malicious code.
- Misrepresents your identity.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Good Eats only for its intended purpose. You may not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
5. Intellectual Property
The Good Eats name, logo, and app design are our property. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our branding or intellectual property outside of the normal use of the Service.
6. Third-Party Content
Good Eats allows you to import recipes from third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party content. Respect the intellectual property of recipe creators and original publishers.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Recipes and nutritional information within the app are user-generated or AI-generated and should be verified before reliance on them for health or dietary purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Good Eats will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Good Eats is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
